Reiki Sessions and Attunements with Sarah Brenes
Sarah is a certified yoga teacher and Reiki Master/Teacher who delights in sharing yoga with the community through instruction, combining asanas (postures) with pranayama (breathwork), meditation, stories, and insight. Her yoga studies began at age of 9 in her parent's living room with PBS and some library books. Her first formal classes in her teens were at Chicago's Yoga Circle with teacher Gabriel Halpern in the Iyengar method. In 2005 she received her first yoga teaching certification at the Himalayan Yoga and Meditation Institute under the guidance of Sarla Walter and spiritual guidance of Pandit Dabral. After moving to Southern Illinois, Sarah has pursued advanced certifications in the Anusara yoga system and Prana Flow yoga. Her primary yoga instructors are Noah Mazé and Christina Sell. She has also studied intensively with Martin Kirk, Darren Rhodes, Sianna Sherman, Betsey Downing, Desiree Rumbaugh, and Shiva Rea. She has learned a great deal of yoga Tantric yoga philosophy and Ayurveda under the great insight from Dr. Douglas Brooks and Maria Garre. Sarah is forever thankful to her greatest friends and teachers, her students, the natural environment, and to the Divine.
